The Weather in the Territorio Poniente
The Western Side of Granada enjoys a Mediterranean climate with continental influence which allows you to visit it throughout the year. With more than 300 days of sunshine, mild temperatures, and a marked seasonality, each season offers unique experiences: from the flowering of almond trees in spring to the thermal waters in winter.
Spring-summer Season
From March to September with mild springs (15-25°C) perfect for hiking and warm summers (25-35°C) with cool nights (18-22°C). Little rain from June to August. Ideal for swimming in natural pools and reservoirs, sunrise routes, astronomy at night, and outdoor festivals such as Parapanda Folk. Essential sun protection.
Autumn-winter Season
From October to February with mild autumns (15-22°C) perfect for cycle tourism and olive oil tourism. Mild winters (8-15°C) with occasional frosts and possible snow in high areas. Moderate rains that fill rivers and waterfalls. Ideal time for comfort food, cultural visits, and rural tourism with a fireplace. Morning mists that create unique landscapes.
